Yes. A Bali eSIM gives you a data connection just like a local SIM, so every app on your phone works as normal.
WhatsApp works over data, so you can message, call and video-call family back home without paying roaming rates. Your Aussie number stays live too, so people can still reach you on your usual number. For more on this, see our guide on keeping your Australian number with a Bali eSIM.
Grab and Gojek
Book rides, food and scooters the moment you land. No need to find a cash point or a SIM shop first — just open the app and go.
Google Maps
Navigate Bali's roads, find your villa, and discover restaurants without getting lost. You can also download Bali maps for offline use before you fly to save data.
Social media
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube all work as normal. If you'll be posting lots of video, pick a heavier plan.
Hotspot and tethering
Most of our Bali plans support hotspot, so you can share data with a travel partner or your laptop. Check the plan details to confirm.
